This ride is in Alameda and Santa Clara counties, which are currently in the Orange tier.
Distance: 49 miles
Pace: B (moderate, occasional stops)
Terrain: 4 (hills, some steep climbs, with some relief)
Elevation gain: about 3,600 ft.
We’re shifting gears and heading over to do Mines Road instead of Morgan Territory; we’ll do Morgan Territory another week. This is a straightforward climb: start near the beginning of Mines Road in Livermore and climb straight up to the
Junction Cafe, eat something, and then head back. Those that think they’ll see wildflowers may head further into San Antonio Valley but the ride leaders will not.
Meet at 9 am
Roll out at 9:15 am
Location: parking area on Mines Road just beyond the junction of Mines and Del Valle Road.
Bring plenty of water and snacks as well as a bag lunch if you don’t want to get something at the Junction Cafe.
No sweep but periodic regroupings.
